Dr. Stephanie Mines is a neuropsychologist whose unique understanding comes from her academic research as well as her extensive work in the field. Her stories of personal transformation have led many listeners to become deeply committed to the healing journey. Dr. Mines understands shock from every conceivable perspective. She has investigated it as a survivor, a professional, a healthcare provider, and as a trainer of staffs of institutions and agencies.
Her blend of Western and Eastern modalities offers the best of both paradigms. She is devoted to ending the lineage of shock and trauma for individuals and the world. To this end she has developed the TARA Approach for the Resolution of Shock and Trauma which is taught internationally and is a clinically tested comprehensive treatment design.
The TARA Approach is also a non-profit organization dedicated to providing alternative health options for a broad spectrum of populations. Dr. Mines, as Director, is responsible for disseminating information to communities in need, especially people suffering from illness that results from shock and trauma, survivors of domestic violence, families and children, and people living with neurodiversity including autism and other sensory integration challenges.
Dr. Mines also developed Climate Change & Consciousness (www.cccearth.org). She convened a global gathering in Northern Scotland in April 2019 with keynote leaders like Bill McKibben, Charles Eisenstein, Vandana Shiva and others who inspired the intergenerational community there to take direct action that is now sustained by a movement serving throughout the world. Climate Change & Consciousness cultivates grounded climate action and serves a vibrant assembly of visionary activists.
Dr. Mines’ books represent a compilation of the diverse aspects of her mission to build grassroots empowerment based sustainable healthcare. These include: We Are All in Shock; New Frontiers in Sensory Integration and most recently They Were Families: How War Comes Home.

Courtney is an Ayurveda counselor, massage therapist, yogini, writer, and artist who is passionate about holistic healing. As part of the TARA & CCC team, she supports Dr. Mines in administration and design projects, as well as community engagement. She was introduced to the TARA Approach and Climate Change & Consciousness during a time of fear and uncertainty, and she is grateful for the profound support and healing received from the practices and teachings.
Since moving to the mountains of southeast USA, she has worked as a Wellness Facilitator for immersive nature-based therapy programs assisting young adults with addiction and psychological disabilities. She recently returned from India where she studied longevity practices with Ayurvedic doctors and professors. She is dedicated to exploring and sharing the path of mindful movement, meditation, breathwork, nutrition, herbalism, self-expression, and connection to Nature for mental health & optimal wellness.

Ash is a facilitator, consultant, and writer living in Bozeman, Montana. She serves TARA’s administrative and programmatic development and as a liaison to the international TARA community. Ash brings her experience in entrepreneurship, nonprofit and program development, facilitation and trauma education to nurture the growth and vibrancy of the TARA Approach.
In addition to supporting the TARA Approach, she works as a mental health and leadership educator providing workshops on personal and community resilience and emotional intelligence.
Nalini is a Doctor of Pharmaceutical Science. The TARA Approach is thrilled to welcome her to our team. Dr. Yadav will work closely with Dr. Mines to develop the Master’s in Regenerative Health for A Climate Changing World for Ubiquity University that will launch in 2023. Dr. Yadav is a Certified TARA Approach Practitioner, preparing to be a TARA Teacher at the Foundations level.
