The Ground of Health: TARA Foundations

  • the TARA approach 4050 Southeast Hosner Terrace Gresham, OR, 97080 (map)

12pm - 4pm PT daily

Facilitated by Stephanie Mines/ Assisted by Peter Heard

Ancient teachings for all humanity anticipated the crumbling of contemporary superficial foundations that now insist we find true ground. The TARA Approach reinvigorates those wisdom teachings as they were transmitted to founder Dr. Stephanie Mines. This iteration of the TARA Foundations program is fully informed by our current environmental, social and health crises that bring immediacy to these resources. TARA Foundations include self-care applied touch, guidance in assessment through pulse reading, formulas for specific conditions that respond to meridian based energy medicine, and a comprehensive, holistic understanding of causation.

Participants receive four texts, numerous charts and media to illustrate exactly how to apply and use TARA’s hands-on component, and empowering demonstrations that give everyone a felt sense of the system in action. Students learn about energetic pathways, elemental forces, human development and the interaction between human beings and the forces of the natural world. Attachment, bonding, selfhood, expression and the intimacy of the mind-body communication that shapes behavior and movement are all areas of Dr. Mines’ expertise.

This course is open to anyone ready to walk on a path of sustainable health. This includes healthcare providers, parents, somatic educators, Yoga and movement teachers, therapists, caregivers, bodyworkers, and anyone committed to the health of humanity and its continuity in a climate changing world.

It should be noted that the TARA Approach in all regards can be applied to the treatment of other beings, such as four-legged creatures. If you are a veterinarian or animal lover you will receive, at no additional charge, TARA’s handbook Listening to Animals. This handbook gives clear instructions for applications for specific conditions, pulse listening and dialogue with animals who are suffering.
